In addition to teaching yoga, I am a Holistic Lifestyle & Nutrition Coach.

You may be wondering what that means, so let me explain a little more…

 I work with clients who are confused around food to gain a clear understanding of how to eat for their health.  My aim is to support my clients in gaining clarity around food, giving them the confidence to make empowered choices without the need for restrictions, faddy diets or guilt.

There is so much misinformation out there telling us what we “should” or “shouldn’t” eat, that it can leave us feeling overwhelmed and disempowered. Believe it or not, eating well is pretty simple and we all have the ability to make changes to our diet for our overall physical and mental health.

I offer both a holistic and personalised approach which looks at the physical, mental and emotional aspects of your life and how this can affect your thoughts, feelings and actions. This incorporates nutritional support, behaviour change coaching and mindful eating practices.

Knowing what to eat is important, but we also need to understand the past conditioning and behaviour patterns that support our relationship to food. When we acknowledge and challenge these, we can start to move forwards into a clearer, happier place.

 My relationship with food 

I have always loved eating, talking and just about anything to do with food, but my relationship hasn’t always been simple. I understand the struggles that many of us face and have personally experienced issues around my weight, confusion about what to eat, guilt, stress and IBS.

Luckily, I have now reached a place of clarity and acceptance around food, and I now strive to eat for my physical and mental health rather than a number on the scales. In particular I am extremely excited about the current research taking place in Gut Health and how this could potentially transform the way we look at nutrition and our wellbeing.

 I am far from perfect; I am human just like you! I eat healthily (most of the time!) and have a positive relationship with food, (until those unhelpful thought patterns raise their ugly heads!) but I am far better equipped now to deal with these difficult thoughts and emotions.
